Meg Garrard

Head of School


Meg first joined Westboro Academy in 2009.

She started her pathway in educational leadership as a wilderness guide, and worked for many years as an instructor with Outward Bound Canada.

She spent a decade as a teacher in a variety of environments including an overseas international school, and a boarding school in Quebec. She also served as: Assistant Head of School, Professor of Education at the University of Ottawa, Instructor at Queen's University, and Education Consultant and Curriculum Developer.

Meg has her Principal Certification, OCT,B.A., B.Ed, M.A in Educational Leadership and Management.

In her spare time, she volunteers on the Board of Directors for Fiddleheads Musical Theatre and is a coach for the racing team at Chelsea Nordiq Ski and Biathlon Club.

She lives in Chelsea, QC with her family and two children, who are also students and alumni of the school.
