Admissions Process

The search for an independent school that is the right ‘fit’ for your child (and your family) will be a fascinating, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming task. At Westboro Academy, the application process is intended to help parents make an informed and appropriate decision on enrolment.

First Step: Visit our Academy

A visit to Westboro Academy will provide you with a sense of our school community. Discovering its secure and friendly environment is an important step in the admissions process. Our doors are always open and we invite you to contact Kim Bourgeois, Director of Admissions  by phone at 613-737-9543 to make an appointment to tour the school and ask any questions that you may have.

Second Step: Application Form

Formal application for a student to enter Westboro Academy is made by completing the Application Form. Complete all components of the application form and provide all required documents listed in the application checklist Please note that an application does not guarantee admission to the school.

Third Step: School Visit and Assessment

Receipt of the application will be acknowledged and you will be invited for an assessment.

Entry Level: Method of Evaluation
Junior and Senior Kindergarten: A morning visit, individual and group assessments
Grade 1-3: Visit of one full day, individual and group assessments
Grade 4-8: Visit of two full days, individual and group assessments

Fourth Step: Assessment Results/Offers

Parents will be advised of the assessment results by phone or email, shortly after the applicant’s visit. Successful applicants will be offered a contract to attend Westboro Academy. Formal acceptance of an offer is made by providing the appropriate payment(s) and signatures, as described on the contract, and returning it to the Registrar by the stated date.
