Admissions

The Admissions Process

The search for an independent school that is the right 'fit' for your child (and your family) will be a fascinating, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming task. At Westboro Academy, the application process is intended to help parents make an informed and appropriate decision on enrollment.

First Step: Visit our Academy.

A visit to Westboro Academy will provide you with a sense of our school community. Discovering its secure and friendly environment is an important step in the admissions process. Our doors are always open and we invite you to contact the Registrar at 613-737-9543, e-mail: registrar@westboroacademy.com to make an appointment to tour the school and ask any questions that you may have.

Second Step: Application Form.

Formal application for a student to enter Westboro Academy is made by completing the Application Form and returning it to the Registrar. Complete all components of the application form and provide all required documents listed in the application checklist. Submit the Form to the Registrar in order to commence the admissions process. Please note that an application does not guarantee admission to the school.

Third Step: School Visit and Assessment

Receipt of the application will be acknowledged and you will be invited for an assessment.

Entry Level and Method of Evaluation:

Junior and Senior Kindergarten: A morning visit, individual and group assessments.

Grade 1 - 3: Visit of one full day, individual and group assessments.

Grade 4 - 8: Visit of two full days, individual and group assessments.

Fourth Step: Assessment Results / Offers

Parents will be advised of the assessment results by phone or e-mail, shortly after the applicant's visit. Successful applicants will be offered a contract to attend Westboro Academy. Formal acceptance of an offer is made by providing the appropriate payment(s) and signatures, as described on the contract, and returning it to the Registrar by the stated date.
